Photographic Safaris with Todd Lutman

Whether it be a photographic safari in search of Africa’s big game, guided walking trails through unspoilt nature reserves, historical battlefield tours, birding, fly fishing, deep sea game fishing, scenic wine tasting trips or trans-continent adventure holidays, our safaris have the knowledge, experience, equipment and guides to ensure a successful trip, tailor-made to your specifications.

Our rates are fully inclusive of all meals, accommodation and transport, unless otherwise specified. Camps are fully serviced and laundry is done daily on a complimentary basis.

All groups will be accompanied by one of our fully licensed and experienced guides, all of whom are knowledgeable and are selected for both service and professionalism. Tours are planned to suit individual group’s requirements and can include a variety of activities.

Hot air ballooning, journeys on a restored steam train to unique destinations such as the magnificent Victoria Falls, tracking big game on foot under the guidance of an experienced ranger, or luxurious game viewing safaris where accommodation is in secluded, fully staffed camps, to mention but a few of the options.

Your guide will meet you at the commercial airport closest to where your safari will commence and, upon completion of entry, will personally escort you up to the time of your departure. Guides and camp staff are at your service for the entire period of the safari, so please do not hesitate to contact them for whatever you require.

Due to the large variety of activities available, and as each safari is planned to suit individual requirements and tastes, rates vary from area to area. Once your proposed itinerary is planned with the assistance of our representative, a firm quote will be presented to you. We have three different scenic tours available as an add on to your hunting safari or as a breakaway for non-hunting guests during a safari. Additional sight-seeing packages can also be arranged and added on request.

*Accommodation is subject to availability, if the mentioned accommodation is not available at time of booking we will endeavor to supply comparable facilities.

Southern Africa is recognised as a “world-in-one” country and photographic opportunities abound. A number of Africa’s finest game reserves are found in the country – ranging from the southern Zululand coastal reserve, to the vast Kruger National Park in the north east. Extending through the central area of the country, on a north/south axis, are the mountainous Drakensberg highlands.

The Kalahari desert in the west is a bewildering part of the country. The diverse cultures of the small Nomadic Bushman, the geometrically painted Sotho villages, and the proud, beaded Zulu’s -or the incredibly varying landscapes of the coastal dune forest, home of the diminutive shy Livingstone’s Suni. Inland to the arid, hot desert, supporting huge herds of the wandering gemsbok, and up to towering weather beaten mountain tops where only the most hardy can survive. The mystical winds swirling around the crackling nightly campfire carries the secret sounds of the African night creatures.

The soft coughing grunt of the leopard belies his ferocious nature, and the ground trembling roar of the lion proclaims his position as King of the night, whilst the cacophony of the scavenging hyenas sends a chill deep into the hearts of the bravest.

By day the night creatures retreat and the bush comes alive with those afraid of the dark. Majestic spiral horned Kudu, dainty Springbok and the herds of Zebra and Wildebeest revel in the morning sunlight, safer from the prowling carnivores. Africa’s unparalleled bird life welcomes the new day with song, almost beckoning us to join in the revelation of life.

To be part of this miracle, let’s do it together and become one with nature. Experience the pampered luxury of exclusive bush camps, complimented with the finest cuisine and the best wines. Observe nature first hand under the guidance of an experienced ranger and see the splendor of Africa as it is supposed to be wild, exclusive, and untamed.
